BT
BT is the stage name of D.C.-born techno artist Brian Transeau, who dropped out of the Berklee College of Music to head west and join L.A.'s thriving electronic music underground. Collaborating with the founders of Deep Fish, BT released the dance album Penetrate Deeper, and later Embracing the Future. His 1996 solo debut, Ima, spawned the U.K. dance hits "Loving You More" and "Deeper Sunshine," and contained a duet with friend Tori Amos. Transeau also worked with Amos on her single "Tatula," found on the Twister soundtrack. In 2000, Transeau ended his five year relationship with Warner Brothers and signed with Nettwerk. His first album for the label, Movement In Still Life, was released the same year.
