BONNIE TYLER
Pop vocalist Bonnie Tyler was born Gaynor Hopkins in Swansea, Wales in June 1953. During the 1980s she released a string of successful albums of mostly love songs, sung in Tyler's trademark gravely voice. Her biggest hits include 1978's "It's a Heartache," which reached No. 3, and 1983's "Total Eclipse of the Heart," which reached No. 1 and was later turned into a dance track by Nicki French. Tyler's most recent release, Free Spirit, came out in 1995.
